Hard Candy Wet Ever Lip Lacquer Review & Swatches | Selfish and Famous

I'm a lip product junkie! I'll admit it! I am always on the look out for new lippies and I recently stumbled across these Hard Candy Wet Ever Lip Lacquers and wanted to give them a try. I am more of a matte lip kinda girl but wanted to see if I enjoyed these glossy finishes.

The Product

Packaging: The lacquers come in a tin box with a mirror inside. Perfect to save and use for other things like bobby pin storage or any other small things you have lying around. The lacquers themselves are in a see through container with a 'dripping' effect on the package. You'll find the shade name on the back of either the tin or the lacquer itself. You get 0.22 oz or 6.3 g per gloss.

Color: I chose to shades: Selfish and famous. Selfish is a neutral pinky shade perfect for everyday wear. And famous is more of a berry shade. They offer 7 different shades in total.

Scent: They really don't have much of a scent. I honestly thought they would have a sweet candy scent to them haha!

Application: I really like the applicator! It comes with a pointy tip perfect to line your lips first then fill them in. The applicator picks up the right amount of product. You will only need one coat because these glosses are super opaque! Once on the lips they become a bit tacky but not heavy.

Wear: Like I mentioned above they become tacky which help with the longevity of the lacquers. They will last a few hours! I apply it in the morning and by lunch time it's still on! I will say though to be a bit careful not to apply too much because it can bleed around the lips!

Price: I paid $5.47 each at Walmart

Glossier's Wowder And Cloud Paint Review

I have seen Glossier pop up just about everywhere and decided to give the brand a try. When I went to their page I was drawn to their newer makeup product which is their 'Wowder' finishing powder and their blushes which they call 'cloud paint'. I like how the brand was very sleek and fresh looking along with some really decent pricing.

Wowder

Packaging: The 'Wowder' comes in a small jar with 0.25 oz of product. I love the baby pink and the bold 'Wowder' print on the top. Once opened the jar has meshing in the middle where the product comes out and the lid has a what I call a 'stopper' that closes directly onto the mesh part preventing any product fall out and/or mess!

Color: I chose light/medium thinking it would deposit some color but, honestly it didn't deposit any color making it more of a translucent powder for me. I can't complain though!

Application: I purchased the 'Wowder Duo' that comes with a brush and once I applied it to the skin I did notice a difference. My fine lines were blurred! My pores looked the same but I was really glad that it did not emphasize any imperfections. The powder is very fine and felt very smooth.

Wear: My skin looked flawless all day long! Also, my makeup stayed put all day! This stuff is AMAZING!!

The Brush: You can choose the buy the wowder with or without the brush and I, of course, chose to purchase it with the brush since it recommends using it. The brush seems to be soft but, I really don't think its all that necessary. I noticed that even when I applied with a regular powder brush I got the same effects.

Price: Like I said I got the 'Wowder Duo' which included the powder and a brush which was $35 for both. Side note: The Wowder itself is $22 and the brush is $20.

Cloud Paint

Packaging: I was really drawn to this packaging. It looked so sleek but yet so cute and so cool at the same time! I love how the end piece has the color of the blush and the shade name. You get 0.33 oz of product in each tube.

Color: I chose the shade 'puff' which is more of a baby pink because I wanted that 'natural' blush look.

Application: I love how creamy this product is and how much color pay off you get. It is also so easy to blend and looks really natural on the skin. The product itself is not greasy at all like some other cream blushes I have owned in the past. You can really sheer the product out or build it up as much as you'd like!

Wear: This is the first time a blush has every really lasted all day. It looked flawless from the second I put it on to the second I took it off! I am obsessed with these that I'm going back for the rest of the shades haha!

Price: The blushes are $18 each! Which may seem like much but you seriously need a pea sized amount when applying.

Revlon Ultra HD Gel LipColor In Desert

I am always on the hunt for the next best hydrating lippie! My lips are dry 99% of the time and I tend to mostly use lip products that will be hydrating and not dry out the lips! When I came across these Revlon Gel LipColors I decided to give the color 'Desert' a try.

THE DETAILS :

Packaging: I love the metallic and sleek look of the barrels! This one in particular is more of a rose gold color and I am obsessed! The barrel holds 0.17 of product, the name of the lip color is found on the bottom and it's a twist up. The barrel itself is very slim and will fit in your purse or clutch.

Color: It's a "my lips but better" shade for me and it gives my lips a pretty shine without looking overly glossy.

Shop 'my face' below! On the eyes I am wearing Maybelline's Powder in Pure Beige for eyeshadow (and as bronzer), L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara (great mascara for length), Covergirl's Healthy Elixir Foundation, and of course Revlon's HD Gel Lip Color in Desert.

Scent: It is a sweet scent that reminds me of fruit roll ups haha! They smell soooo good you almost just wanna take a bite!!! hahahaha!

Application: The product goes on super smooth and there is definite color pay off. One swipe over the lips and done! It feels very hydrating as well and its light on the lips so you won't feel like you've caked on a bunch of lip product nor does it leave a tacky feeling.

Wear: I put it on in the morning around 9 and by lunch time (after eating and drinking) It had started to wear off. You can easily reapply throughout the day without it clumping on the lips. Also, your lips will feel so hydrated for the whole day!

I have been wearing this color on and off for the past few weeks and can't get enough! I am definitely going back for more colors.

Have you tried these yet? If so, what's your favorite shade?

The Best Bronzer For Fair Skin

bronzer for fair skin tones maybelline pure beige face powder

So I know the Maybelline Fit Me collection has been out for ages but, I was recently at Ulta looking for a new bronzer and decided to give the Fit Me Matte + Poreless Face Powder in Pure Beige as a bronzer a try! A good shade of bronzer is hard to come by because sometimes they can be on the orange-y side or too pink!

The Product Details

Packaging: I like how it comes in a sturdy compact with a sponge and mirror. I don't use the sponge but you definitely can! You get 0.3 oz.

Color: The color is pretty neutral, not too cool not too orange, so it is perfect to bronze with!

Application: The powder is easy to blend out using the Real Technique contour brush. It will not leave you streaky! The formula is so buttery smooth.

Finish: It's matte so you don't have to worry about any shimmer but, it somehow leaves a "glowy" effect. You will look like you came back from vacay with little effort!
