Ways To Save Money Shopping Online

IMG_8733.PNG

I have to admit that I love to shop but I am also a broke girl! haha! So, today I want to share with you how to save money while shopping online.

Google discount codes

This one is the most obvious but seriously, some of us forget to do a quick Google check for promos and coupons.

Shop, add, and leave

What I mean by this is that you'll want to add items to your cart then leave the page. Some retailers will send you an email 'reminding' you of the items you left in your cart along with that email they will sometimes include a discount code. This one doesn't work 100% of the time and you also need to have an account with that certain retailer for it to work.

Pro Discounts

Many makeup brands offer a pro discount to those who qualify for it. Some brands ask you to pay a yearly fee and some are completely free to join. All you have to do is submit an application. Some brands offer 40% off which is insane!(Tarte Cosmetics is one of them).

Sign up for memberships

A lot of stores now offer memberships at a small cost. Once signed up you get a certain amount off your total or per item. I love to do a lot of my shopping online and that includes food items. For example, I like to use Thrive Market to buy organic items at a discounted rate.

Subscribe for newsletters

If you don't mind being flooded with emails then sign up for as many newsletters as possible. This is probably the quickest way to find out about new deals and discount codes to your favorite stores. Some stores even send better deals to customers who shop more at their online store.

Ebates

This isn't a 'saving money' tip per say but, technically you're getting money back and so that's kinda like saving money right?? haha. Ebates is a great tool to use while shopping online. It's also fairly easy to use: you go to Ebates' website, click on the store you want to shop at, shop away, then you get money back. Every store offers different percents of cash backs so you'll have to check and see how much a store is offering at that time.

Timing is everything

This one is perfect if you have the patience to wait until that item goes on sale. Most items will go on sale within a couple of months of coming out or when a new season is coming up. But, I'll admit this one is a little tricky because if you have your eye on a certain item and wait for it to go on sale you run the chances of it being sold out in your size.

Hope you learned some new ways to save money online! If you have any suggestions leave them in the comments section :)

10 Ways To Make Money Online Today

ways to make money online fast

I wanted to share a list on ways to make money online fast! There's obviously a million other ways but these are the top 10 that have generated some extra income for me.

Sell on Facebook

There are many Facebook 'groups' that allow you to sell your stuff. Some have more rules than others but it's all fairly simple to use. Just upload a picture of your item, add the price and description, and wait for a buyer. There are local groups but also long distance, so just keep in mind on your pricing and shipping(if needed) prices.

Ebay

I don't think I need to tell you how to sell on Ebay haha! It has been around for years! But, I feel like it gets easier to sell as time goes by  because there are SO many people on Ebay from around the world who are ready to buy.

ibotta

This is an app that allows you to scan your products and receipts in order to get money back. Obviously, for this one you have to buy something to make money back but if you're already buying groceries why not get a bit of extra cash back?

Start an online boutique or Etsy shop

To start either you will need to have money and product first. But, the potential to make extra cash is infinite. I use storenvy for my online boutique. It's easy to use and they will occasionally run promotions for sellers to get your products seen by potential buyers. Etsy is also easy to use but they prefer you make your own product or sell vintage items. With Etsy you get charged a small amount per item.

Ebates

This is another 'you need to buy something first to get cash back' way to make extra cash. It is legit and I have been using Ebates for years and years! All you have to do is go to the website (or app) and click on the store you would like to shop at. You can get anywhere from 2%-8% cash back at many online retailers. So, if you love to shop online then this is the solution for you! :)

BookScouter

This is probably one of the coolest ways to make extra cash. It's not the easiest but it is worth it if you attend a lot of garage sales/thrift stores. BookScouter is an app that allows you to scan books and sell them through the app. That's it! Scan and sell! You can easily head on over to a garage sale or thrift store, pick up a book, scan it, see how much it's worth, and the sell it. It can't get much easier than that!

Blogging

I recently picked up blogging again but, when I had my previous blog up and running I made about $40 a month. Now, thats not very much I know but I honestly did not invest much time into it. So, I made $40 a month on a blog that I spent maybe 5 hours a week on imagine how much can be made on a blog that you put your mind to?

YouTube

Probably one of the easiest ways to make cash these days. Not the quickest way but certainly easy because all you have to do is upload a video, share it, and hope to get views. It's crazy how much money can be made on YouTube you just have to get the courage to upload videos online (and maybe learn a thing or two on editing videos).

Affiliate Links

I think affiliate links are becoming more and more popular. And just FYI you don't have to be a blogger/YouTuber to get affiliate links. My favorite affiliate website is shopstyle collective. That's what I use 99% of the time. You can use the links on your blogs or even share them on Pinterest. You get paid per click so all you have to do is share the link and get some clicks! Of course, you make more money when people actually buy the product.

Shutterstock/Society6

If you have artwork, photographs, or video footage that you'd love to turn into prints(or various items) and sell then here is your answer on how to do just that. All you have to do is upload your work and they do the rest. You set your prices. I wrote a blog post on why I love society6 check it out here.

Let me know how you make money in the comments! :)
